June 18, 2018 – The Department of Science and Technology – National Capital Region (DOST-NCR) in cooperation with the local government of Pasig City, brought science and technology closer to the people through “PASIGlahin PA, SIGe Pa ang Siyensya’t Teknolohiya”, an S&T Fair which was held last June 18-22, 2018 at the Rizal High School in Pasig City.

The event was led by DOST-NCR Regional Director Jose B. Patalinjug III together with Mr. Oscar B. Sevilla, Cluster Manager of PAMAMARISAN, DOST-NCR.  Pasig City officials headed by Pasig City Mayor – Mayor Robert “Bobby” Eusebio, Cong. Ricky Eusebio and the rest of the city council were there to support the event. DOST-NCR’s partners – Dr. Dominico C. Idanan of DepED – Pasig Division, Engr. Filemon Berba Jr. and Ms. May Pagsinohin of the Philippine Foundation for Science and Technology (PFST) as well as principals and teachers were also there to represent the different schools in Pasig City.

After the ceremony the officials and students went around the venue to view the 40 interactive exhibits set-up by the Science Centrum. PAGASA’s Planetarium, Rizal Technological University’s (RTU) Solar Watching and Interactive Astronomical Game, Manila Water’s Film Showing on how they process the water, PFST’s Water Rocket Launch and Science Teaching Aids, Resources and Techniques and the Mad Science Camp were also set-up around the campus of Rizal High School for students and teachers to enjoy for the whole week (June 18-22).
